Quarterly Top 5 Photos {of your kiddos}

So, I totally got ahead of myself and posted this last week! Then, I realized I was a week early.  Ooops!  

I'm linking up with the always awesome Amber from Click, Pray, Love, Ashley from Ramblings and Photos, and Sarah from Naptime Momtog.  If you have never visited their blogs. . . go now!  I'll wait. :)

So here are some of my faves from the last three months. . . 

1.  A kiss in front of the ugly garage door.  My kids are always sitting and standing on the little stoop in front of the door that leads to our garage.  It's an eyesore, but I actually love it because I have so many memories captured in front of it.  In this photo we were headed out and my kids were being so sweet with each other.  I grabbed my camera and told them to "do it again."  This is what I got.

2.  Stella was focused on a little toy and I was focused on the monring light coming through the window.  This girl ALWAYS has crazy, messy hair and I have to chase her down to get it brushed.  I'm going to miss that whispy, toddler hair.

3.  My SIL got this rain gear from a garage sale.  It's a litle big, but whenever it rains, Miles goes to closet to put on his Fireman outfit.  He loves to watch the rain hit his umbrella and splash in the puddles.  I don't always bring my camera out in the rain, but I on this day I risked it. :)

4. and 5.  Both of these are my kids lost in thought.  I think Stella was looking out the window waiting for her daddy to get home.  Miles was watching big trucks drive down Pierce Butler.  I cherish these quiet, mellow moments because our house is so rarely quiet.

It's always so hard to pick only 5, so I'd better post before I change my mind ANOTHER time.

Balloon Head Turns 3

Three. 

I can't believe it. 

Stella turned three on Thursday, and we celebrated last weekend.  For her party, she either wanted an Olivia cake or a Hello Pony cake (that's a Hello Kitty/My Little Pony fusion, for those not in the know.)  We decided to go with Olivia.  My lovely niece always makes my kids' cakes and she did not disappoint.

Stella had a great day full of kisses, hugs, giggles

way too many gifts,

 and swimming!

Thank you to our friends and family for helping us celebrate our little star.  

We love you so much, Miss Stella Maeve!

Now I guess it's time I start losing that "baby" weight, huh?  Oy vey!

The prompt this week for M4H 52 Weekly Photography Project was Simplicity.  This is my daughter Stella waiting for her big brother to get home from school.  She was looking at the clouds and telling me what she saw. I have so many filters of my own experience, telling me what can and cannot be. I saw cumulus clouds and sunshine that would melt the snow on the sidewalk and then turn to ice, which would lead to icy conditions for anyone walking on our sidewalk. She just sees The Cat in the Hat. There's a lot to learn from her approach.

Assignment #34 Family/Celebration
