My son has had his share of knocks in life. He was born with congenital spinal issues and Klippel Feil Syndrome and wore a full torso/neck brace for 2+ years until he had a spinal fusion surgery at the age of 3. He was soon after diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum, but has dealt with those related sensory/social issues from the very beginning. He wears braces on his feet, has had two sets of tubes, adenoids removed and has dealt with countless other minor issues. Then, his eyes started crossing and we were told he would need glasses. I swear it about threw me over the edge. Not becauses glasses are that big of a deal, but because it was ONE. MORE. THING. He's four years old and has been through so much. And believe me, I know compared to other kids, Miles' life has been a cakewalk. It's all relative. That said, it hasn't been easy.
Today we picked up his glasses. He loves them (for now) and we just think he is about the cutest thing since the Hanson Brothers. You know, the cute one. :)
