This week for the M4H's Weekly Photography Project our theme was COLOR.
I went with yellow.
I'm pretty sure she was singing "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles. ;)

This week's theme for the M4H's Weekly Photography Project was a Wild Card so there was no prompt to follow. There were, however, large snow flakes and a little girl who wanted to take a walk. Slightly dreary, but warm. I love this winter.

4/52
As you may or may not remember, our assignment this week is the same prompt that I have for my 52 Weekly Photo Project @ My Four Hens, so I'm posting mine early so I can get it up on the Flickr group.
Obviously this prompt can be interpreted in several ways, but I decided to share some very IMPERFECT photos of some pretty PERFECT moments at our house. There is blur, LOTS of noise (I think I had my ISO bumped up all the way to 6400) and the corner of my sofa is showing in all of the shots, but you know what? I don't care. I love these pictures. Even if they are not perfect. The fact that my kids are playing together quietly (which is a rare treat at our house) makes me ignore the mess and want to share them with the world.

And I will be posting your "imperfect" photos on Sunday night. You can send them to sarschro@yahoo.com. I already have some very cool ones in my inbox. :)

Miles is at school and Stella has been napping for an hour. I should be cleaning, but instead I hopped over to one of my "happy places" for a little photo inspiration. Then, I realized I hadn't taken my {Inspiration} pic yet for the My Four Hens 52 Weekly Photography Project and BAM!! --I give you 3/52: INSPIRATION. ;) Now I have exactly 10 minutes to fold three loads of laundry!

Here is my picture for Week 2 of the My Four Hens Photography weekly themes. Our prompt was "life". I was intially trying to come up with something deep and meaningful, but that level of thinking made my head hurt so I put it out of my brain for awhile. Then this morning when my kids were jumping all over my clean laundry, (yes, I realize I was inviting disaster by leaving it all over the floor, but it was a lovely folded pile) I grabbed my camera because I thought it was cute. Unfortunately, the vaccum was in the way. This would be the same vaccum that would be sitting in the middle of our living room since yesterday. Since I never really ever finish vaccuming, the point of putting it away eludes me. Anyways, I was about to move it out of the picture when I thought. . . who am I fooling? This IS my life. Disorganized? Check. Unfinished chores? Check. Kids acting like animals? Check and check.
L.I.F.E.
And you know what? I can't say I love every single moment of it, but I can say three things with certainty.
1. I love my kids
2. Even with all of the craziness, I know that I am blessed.
3. My house is now, and probably always will be, still a mess.

I've decided to participate in My Four Hens Photography 52 Weeks of Photos on Flickr this year. She is one of my favorite photographers on the planet, so I thought it would be fun to try and keep up with her weekly themes. Week One is, very fittingly, Resolution. It seems like every year I resolve to lose weight. I know, how cliche, right? Anyway, I always get very focused on the number that I see on the scale. While I would still love to see that number drop, I resolve this year to focus on being a healthy role model for my children.
And here is my picture. . .
And here is my picture. . .
I also resolve to stick with this project the entire year!
Wish me luck!
