Assignment #52 FLASHBACK {ONE YEAR AGO}

To celebrate doing these assignemnt for 52 weeks, we are taking a look back this week.  I just scrolled through all of the assignments we've done.  It was so fun!  What have you learned in the past year photography wise?
I got my first DSLR a little over a year ago and got bit by the photography bug right then and there.   I have made some decent progress, but still have lots to learn.  I've taken a few classes, can comfortably shoot in manual, and have developed some editing skills (thank you, Edit Me!).  I'm still trying to find my "style," but I'm much closer than I was a year ago.  Enough about me, though, I would love to hear more about YOUR progress!

. . .and you can check out some really old photos on my kids' old blog/baby book. Miles and Stella wrote it, (wink wink) but they started to get all wrapped up with their social lives and pizza flavored goldfish and let it go. . . darn shame. ;)

 I feel like we've accomplished something here!  You should give yourself a pat on the back and take a couple of weeks off!  I'll be returning with more assignments after Memorial Day weekend.  Check back for assignment details!  Any ideas/themes would be greatly appreciated! xo

Assignment #51 Mom Love and New Assignment

Next week's assignment is #52!!  Due to a couple of extended weeks we've actually been working on these assignments for over a year, but now it feels official!  To celebrate we are going to do a flashback week!  Even if you haven't particiapted the whole time or at all, please join in!  Send me your photos from 1 year ago!  Let's look back and see how far you've come.  Did you see an improvement?  Do you know what you want to work on next? I can't wait to see your "old" photos!  I also can't wait to see where we will be one year from now! Go us!

Assignment #50 Wild Card and New Assignment

The assignment this week was a 'Wild Card' which meant you just needed to send in a few of your faves from the week--easy peasy!  I don't know about you, but I  need a break from the assignments every once in a while.  Besides that, it's always so fun to see the shots you love.

 WooHoo!  Love them!  You know what else I love?  Mother's Day!  To celebrate, this week's assignment (#51) is going to be in honor of all the awesome mommas out there!  I will give you an extra day because I don't want you to have to lift a finger on Sunday.  So give me some 'Mom Love' shots.  They could be selfies, pictures of your own mom, your friend's mom, the mother of your children or it could be of something you're doing to celebrate yourself or the moms in your life. . .and you better be doing something. . . ;)

Assignment #49 Soft and New Assignment

Sorry for posting late!  Stella was out cold by 6:30pm last night.  I thought I got lucky, but I was mistaken.  She was up at 10pm ready to party!  So we partied and I fell asleep in her bed at 10:30 for the night with my clothes on.  Oh well, I had one less thing to do this morning. ;)
How was your weekend?   We were out of town celebrating my mom's birthday and I got my first TURKEY yesterday.  For those of you not in the bowling know, that's THREE STRIKES IN A ROW!  For someone who rarely breaks 100, this was a major feat and one I will tell everyone who will listen.  Gobble, gobble, gobble!

Assignment #47 Time/Timeless and New Assignment

One thing I love about these weekly assignments is that it is up to you how you interpret the theme.  Some weeks we seem to interpret it in a similar way and other weeks it's quite varied.  This was one of those varied weeks, which makes it really interesting.
